1. HALESTORM TO OPEN FOR ALICE COOPER!
IN THE WEST!
No official announcements have been made by either act, but venues in Kennewick, WA and Garden City (Boise), ID have started promoting shows this November featuring Halestorm opening for the legendary Alice Cooper!
We don’t know much, but here’s what I’ve been able to find:
Alice has scheduled tour dates through November 29th already announced, mostly teaming with the also-legendary Iron Maiden this summer, then splitting off on his own to headline for a while. Through November 1st, lots of details are available about venues, openers, and the like. After that… very little.
Starting on November 7th, Alice hits western Canada, then swings through the United States, too, with the last date listed being the 29th. For most of those dates, Alice is the ONLY act so far confirmed.
HOWEVER, on two of those shows (Kennewick on the 20th and Garden City on the 21st), Halestorm’s name is already attached!
Does this mean they’ll be on the other dates too? Not necessarily. We won’t know for sure until either Halestorm, Alice, or the venues themselves announce something. But it’s… likely. No guarantees, but, hey, fingers crossed.
Alice’s (not necessarily Halestorm’s, except the two dates) schedule is as follows:
11/7: Calgary, AB, Southern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
11/13: Dawson Creek, BC, EnCana Events Centre
11/14: Edmonton, AB, Northern Alberta Jubilee Auditorium
11/16: Vancouver, BC, Queen Elizabeth Theatre
11/17: Spokane, WA, Northern Quest Casino
11/18: Seattle, WA, The Moore Theatre
11/20: Kennewick, WA, Toyota Center (Halestorm confirmed! And the venue is a roller derby arena!)
11/21: Garden City, ID, Revolution Concert House & Event Center (Halestorm confirmed!)
11/23: Denver, CO, Paramount Theatre
11/25: Reno, NV, Grand Sierra Resort
11/27: San Francisco, CA, The Warfield
11/29: Los Angeles, CA, Orpheum Theatre
12/1: Indio, CA, Fantasy Springs Resort Casino
And by the way, young bloods, you have not lived until you’ve seen Alice Cooper perform live. The “Carnival of Madness” tour has no business calling itself that without Alice on the bill.
No word yet on whether Lzzy will give Alice drugs again.
EDIT: Hey! Joe Hottinger just personally confirmed via Twitter that “we’re coming west” and “there will be many more soon.” Is that a confirmation that they’ll be on more of these? Technically, no. But it’s a good sign, anyway.
EDIT AGAIN: Three more dates have been found… still no confirmed Halestorm appearance at any of them, but Alice at least is coming through Spokane, WA, Reno, NV and Indio, CA!
